Yes and no. It depends on how you have setup your NAS. Most NAS base out of box setup is only allow access via you local IP's 192.x.x.x. Traffic out from your network to the internet and back to your router will be encrypted (the router knows which internal IP request what from where and will forward it back to the requesting IP), but would have to be initiated by the NAS.
