This causes the port number to reset to 110, and it can't be changed, but then the Check Mail function worked perfectly well and I no longer had the error. My web connection is OK (as evidenced by my PF1 message and my business connection being normal) so perhaps it is something corrupted in my Xtra set-up in Mailwasher, either that or Xtra's service is down.
